Winner of these classes, if otherwise undefeated, compete in Best of Breed Competition. Veteran Dog/Bitch (7 yrs and older), open to champions and non-champions. SWEEPSTAKES
Sweepstakes will be held prior to the Regular Classes and is open to any AKC registered Bulldog of at least 6 months of age and under 18 months of age on the date of the show. No champions of record as of the show's closing date are eligible. Professional handlers may only show their own dogs. All entries in Sweepstakes must be entered in a Regular class. Entries must be made at the same time as entries for the Regular Class on the same entry form with the word Sweepstakes marked in the Additional Class box. Dogs and bitches are judged separately.

IMPORTANT: Transfer of dogs from regular classes to Best of Breed/Variety Competition (CH 11, Section 6, AKC Rules) MUST be made to the Superintendent/Show Secretary at least one half hour prior to the start of any regular conformation judging at this show.

SHOW & VENUE RULES
- Closing date for these shows will be @ 6 PM CST Wednesday, December 28, 2022, after which time entries cannot be accepted, cancelled, altered or substituted. No entry shall be made which specified any condition as to its acceptance. Entries will not be accepted without fees, signatures, or the Agreement on the reverse side of the Official AKC Entry form. Changes, additions, or corrections to entry forms must be received prior to close of entries.
- Make checks payable to: Austin Bulldog Club or pay with a credit card online here. No cash will be accepted. Check from must be drawn from US accounts, in USD.
- Online entries will be accepted by completing the registration form and an online credit card payment is made.
- Errors: Errors on the entry forms are the responsibility of the owner or whomever made the error and no entry fee will be refunded in the event of such error or cancellation of entry after the published closing date.
- A recording fee of 50 cents and a $3.00 AKC Event Service Fee will be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show. This recording fee is to be collected by the show giving club and paid to the American Kennel Club. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the recording fee is to be collected on the first entry only, (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 11, Section 2.) There will be no refund of duplicate entries.
- Refund of Exhibitor Fee: No entry fee will be refunded if the show cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, extreme and/or dangerous weather conditions, an act of God, public emergency, act of public enemy, strikes or any other cause beyond the control of the club, or if a dog is absent, disqualified, or excused by a judge or veterinarian or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee.
- RETURNED CHECKS DO NOT CONSTITUTE A VALID ENTRY FEE. The show secretary will add a collection fee of $35.00 to the amount of each returned check.
- Chapter 11, Section 4, Effective January 1, 2010, an AKC litter number will no longer be accepted on an entry form. In addition, a Purebred Alternative Listing (PAL) or Indefinite Listing Privilege (ILP) number will be acceptable for participation in appropriate classes.
- Judging programs will be emailed to the email address given on the entry blank.
- A dog which, according to it's owner's records, has completed the requirements for a Championship after the closing of entries for the show, but whose Championship is unconfirmed, may be transferred from one the regular classes to Best of Breed, provided this transfer is made by the Show Secretary at least one half hour prior to the start of any regular conformation judging a the show.
- Trophies and cash prizes will be awarded in the judging rings. In the event of a discrepancy from the published prize list, the Show Secretary shold be advised at once. Trophies not claimed on the day of the show are forfeited.
- All Bulldogs will be judged on a ramp.
- The show room will be available to exhibitors at 3pm, Friday, January 13, 2023. The Show room will be closed 11 PM each evening until eight AM the following day. All dogs must be removed from the crating area and show room immediately following the completion of judging each day. No dogs may be left in the crating area overnight. Space will not be provided for un-entered dogs in the crating or show areas.
- Exhibitors should follow their Veterinarian's recommendations to assure their dogs are free from internal and external parasites, communicable diseases and have appropriate vaccines.
- Grooming and crate set-up areas will be designated. Only small battery-operated create fans are allowed. There will be no reserved grooming at the show, but plenty of space will be availble.
- Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs are allowed in the ring during judging only. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the show giving club nor any of its members will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring. The Club reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. All trophies must be claimed the day of the show.
- All dogs must be individually registered by the day of the event to be eligible to exhibit at an AKC event. No dog shall be exhibited in a licensed or member dog show, except for dogs entered in the Miscellaneous Class unless it is either individually registered in the AKC Stud Book, or individually registered with a foreign registry organization whose pedigrees are acceptable for AKC registration. Only dogs that are individually registered with a foreign registry organization and whose registration with the AKC has been delayed will be eligible for an extension.
- Bred-By-Exhibitor Class: All dogs entered in the Bred-By-Class must be individually registered with the AKC, and the person handling the dog must be a breeder of record of the dog and an owner of record of the dog. To exhibit in this class, family members must be a breeder and owner of record.
- Parking available at the show site. Crates should be unloaded by parking.
- Admission to the show is free. Exhibitors are encouraged to bring their own chairs.
- Showroom will have a concrete floor.
- Smoking is prohibited inside the building.
- Alcoholic beverages many not be consumed, served or sold on the premises. Local authorities may check for violations of this policy, and if found, the show will be ended!
- Liability: The Austin Bulldog Club and Brady Civic Center, assume no responsibility for the loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers or any of their dogs or property and further assumes no responsibility for injury to children.
- Parents and Guardians mush keep children under control at all times on the show grounds. The welfare of an Exhibitor's child is the sole responsibility of the Exhibitor.
